沙棘果為胡頹子科沙棘屬植物沙棘的果實(shí)，又名醋柳果，酸刺果。沙棘果是一種小漿果植物，落葉灌木或小喬木。主要分布河北、內(nèi)蒙古、山西、陜西、甘肅、青海、四川西部。常生于海拔800-3600米溫帶地區(qū)向陽的山嵴、谷地、干涸河床地或山坡，多礫石或沙質(zhì)土壤或黃土上。中國黃土高原極為普遍。
